Calculate your Life Path number
Reduces month, day and year separately, then adds and reduces again, keeping master numbers 11, 22 and 33.
The method, step by step
- Reduce your birth month to one digit (or a master number). October (10) becomes 1; November (11) stays 11.
- Reduce your birth day the same way. The 14th becomes 1 + 4 = 5.
- Reduce your birth year. 1988 becomes 1 + 9 + 8 + 8 = 26, then 2 + 6 = 8.
- Add the three results and reduce once more. 1 + 5 + 8 = 14, then 1 + 4 = 5.
The one point practitioners differ on is whether to reduce a master-number month or day before adding. The calculator keeps masters where they appear; both approaches are common and usually land on the same single digit.

Questions
Life Path number calculator FAQ
What does the Life Path number calculator do?
It takes your date of birth and returns your Life Path number, showing how the month, day and year reduce and combine.
What do I enter into it?
Just your date of birth. No name and no other details are needed for the Life Path number.
How does it calculate the Life Path number?
It reduces your birth month, day and year each to a single digit or master number, adds the three results, and reduces once more.
Does it keep master numbers 11, 22 and 33?
Yes. If a component or the final total is a master number before its last reduction, the calculator preserves it.
Why does adding all my birth digits give a different answer?
Adding every digit in one long string can skip a master number that the component method would keep. The component method used here is the more standard one.
Is my birth date stored anywhere?
No. The calculation happens in your browser and nothing is sent to a server or saved.
Can my Life Path result ever change?
No. It is fixed by your date of birth for life. Only name-based numbers can be recalculated.
What does my Life Path number mean once I have it?
Each result links to a full guide. In brief it describes the overall theme of your life; see the Life Path number pages for detail.
Is the calculator free?
Yes, free and unlimited, with no account required.
