Master numbers: 11, 22 and 33
When a numerology calculation lands on 11, 22 or 33, most systems do not reduce it to 2, 4 or 6. These are the master numbers, described as carrying the qualities of the reduced digit at a higher intensity, more potential, and more strain.

Why they are left unreduced
Numerology treats double-digit repeats of the same number as a signal. 11 is “two ones,” 22 is “two twos,” 33 is “two threes.” The idea is that the energy of 1, 2 or 3 is doubled and also lifted onto a more demanding level before it settles into the reduced number underneath (2, 4, 6). In practice many readers hold both in mind: an 11 Life Path is read as “an 11 that still has to learn to be a functional 2.”
Not every practitioner uses master numbers, and almost none extend the idea past 33. Treat 44, 55 and so on as ordinary reduced numbers unless a specific book you trust says otherwise.

A note on hype
Master numbers attract a lot of dramatic writing online, “chosen,” “old soul,” “special mission.” Within numerology they are considered harder to live with, not a mark of superiority, and having one does not predict achievement. If a reading leans on flattery about your master number, that is a reason to be more skeptical of it, not less.
